夜中に工場に積みに行き江戸川へ。
いつものように早く卸し帰りは下道。
田んぼに干してあった藁が
藁ロールとなると景色が変わる。
この光景は凄く好き。
藁は馬の飼育では欠かせない。
馬の寝床を作るのに毎日使っていた。
午後から積みに行き他に2台も積みがあり
俺は早くに積みあがったのに付き合いで遅くなる。
家に帰ると真っ赤になったイチゴを
メイクが欲しそうにしている。
今年初めてのイチゴの収穫はメイクが取って食べた。
まだ今年になって1ヵ月も過ぎてないけど
今年の最大ヒット曲が俺の中で決定。
年明け4日からラジオでオンエアーが始まったかな。
毎日のように聴いてるけど久しぶりに良い曲。
『だからなんだよ』って言われても
曲名がそれだからしかたない。

午前中を通して高さ20から25フィートの波が見られたものの
大会開催にはコンディションが不十分と判断された。
会場には1万5千人以上が集まり、暗いうちからスタートを待った。
2002年のエディ優勝者で10度の世界タイトル獲得者のケリー・スレーターは
「正しい判断だね。大波はあるけど、数は多くない。」とコメント。
大会のウェイティング期間は2月28。
